City of Karratha presents
Humphrey Bower & Libby Klysz’
AN IMAGINARY LIFE
This presentation of An Imaginary Life is part of an Artist in Residence Program, delivered across two separate weeks, focusing on connecting deeply with place through sound, storytelling, and community engagement. The artists will embed themselves in Dampier and Cossack, responding to local spaces through walking, listening, and site-specific performance.
The project encourages a deeper sense of place, cultural reflection, and sensory experience, making it ideal for both long-time locals and curious newcomers.

Soundwalks Workshop: 5.30pm to 630pm, recommended ages 14+
Join sound designer Kingsley Reeve as he walks with you on a acoustic awareness and listening tour of the Cossack Historic Town and surroundings, facilitating the proces of tuning in. That is tuning into the architecture, the land, each other and self.
The theatre performance "An Imaginary Life" responds to the natural acoustics of a room and resonates with what already exists. This site responsive way of working will be shared and embedded in this listening experience.
Suitable for those ear-minded, just curious or those that have attended or will attend An Imaginary Life.
