When is the Box Office open?

Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 9am to 5pm  

Tuesday and Thursday: 9am to 6pm  

Saturday: 9am to 2pm.  

The Precinct opens an hour before the start time of all live shows and half an hour before the start time of movies.

How do I book tickets?

You can book online, over the phone or by visiting our box office. We accept payment by credit card (VISA or MasterCard), cash or gift vouchers.  
 

I have e-tickets. Do I need to print them?

No, e-tickets do not need to be printed. When you enter the auditorium, show the PDF version or the apple wallet ticket on your smartphone for scanning like a regular ticket.  
 

Can I get an exchange/refund?

The Red Earth Arts Precinct has a no refunds policy to align with the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice. The no refunds policy is: 

Tickets are not refundable. Refunds are only available as per the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice. You have the right to a refund if the event to which you purchased an authorised ticket is cancelled, rescheduled (and you cannot attend the rescheduled event) or significantly relocated. 

We do not give refunds or exchanges under any other circumstances including changing your mind, sickness, holidays or wanting to exchange tickets to the same performance on another date. 

Do you offer Companion Card discounts?

The Red Earth Arts Precinct recognises the Companion Card for all performances. Companion Card holders will not be required to pay for tickets for their carer. Please let the Box Office know you have a companion card when you book your tickets. 

Do I need to buy a ticket for a young child?

Children under three years old do not require a ticket and may enter for free. They will not be allocated a seat, and must sit on your lap. 

Do you have gift vouchers available for purchase?

Yes. To purchase a gift voucher please visit the Box Office or call on 9186 8600.  

Will I be able to see the stage from Row A?

The auditorium seating is tiered and Row C is the first row at stage level. Row A and Row B are just below stage level, meaning your eye line will be directed up toward the stage when watching a performance from the front two rows. 
 

How do I make group or school bookings?

Please visit the Box Office or call 9186 8600. 

Can I take a pram with me into the auditorium?

Prams and strollers cannot be brought into the auditorium This is to ensure all aisle and exit paths are clear in the case of an emergency. Our staff will be able to assist in storing your pram. Please take all valuables with you. Bassinets or capsules that can be detached from the pram can be taken inside the auditorium. 
 

Where can I park?

The main access to the Red Earth Arts Precinct is off Welcome Road. There is drop off zone at the front of the venue and 80 car bays. Further along Welcome Road there are 200 car bays beside the Catholic Church and the City of Karratha offices. 
 

Where is the smoking area?

The Red Earth Arts Precinct is a smoke-free venue. This includes all outside areas and amphitheatre. The closest area where smoking is permitted is Walgu Park, directly across the road from the venue. 
 

Is there a restaurant inside the venue?

Drinks and light snacks are available at the kiosk half an hour before each performance. There is not currently a restaurant operating in the theatre.  

Please remember, it is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or obtain alcohol for, anyone under 18 years old. 

Are food and drink permitted in the theatre?

Food and beverages are available for purchase half an hour before movies and performances, and also during intermission. Outside food and beverages, except for water, are not permitted in the venue. Bags and personal belongings may be inspected on arrival.  

Food is not permitted inside the theatre during live performances, unless otherwise specified. 

Alcoholic beverages are available for sale with the exception of performances, events or movie screenings specifically targeted at children and/or patrons under 18 years of age. This includes G and PG rated movies. The Red Earth Arts Precinct practices Responsible Service of Alcohol and adheres to the Liquor Control Act 1988. 

Can I bring my backpack into the theatre?

Backpacks, large handbags and other items that may be hazardous or restrict the movement of visitors are not be permitted into the theatre. Our staff will be able to assist in storing your items. Please remember to collect any stored items after the performance. 

Other items that are prohibited inside the venue include, but are not limited to; alcohol purchased from outside, glass bottles, offensive signs or clothing, laser pointers, and any other items that could present a safety hazard to others or interfere with the performance, such as professional photography and recording equipment and devices. 
 

If I am running late, can I still watch the performance?

Yes. In some cases, there may be a lockout which requires staff to wait a certain amount of time after the show has started before being able to open the doors and allow patrons to enter the theatre. Ushers and staff will let you know once you have arrived at the theatre and help you enter the theatre as soon as possible. 
 

Do you have accessible facilities available?

Yes, accessible bathrooms are available on both the ground and first floor. 

How do I book accessible or wheelchair seating?

There are six wheelchair seating locations in the lower auditorium and three in the upper auditorium. To book wheelchair seating, please contact the Box Office on 9186 8600.
