Enter a world of vibrant colour as we celebrate the distinctive beauty of Pilbara wildflowers and Philippine orchids through acrylic painting. In this guided workshop, you’ll explore the unique forms, textures, and hues of these treasured botanicals, while building skills in layering, blending, and expressive brushwork. Suitable for beginners and experienced painters alike, this session honours two landscapes in bloom: the red earth blossoms of the Pilbara and the tropical grace of the Philippines.
The goals of this workshop are to guide participants in developing their acrylic painting skills through techniques such as layering, blending, and expressive brushwork, while also exploring composition and form in botanical art. Participants will learn to observe and capture the unique qualities of Pilbara wildflowers and Philippine orchids, gaining an appreciation for the way flora reflects land, culture, and identity. By the end of the session, each participant will create a finished artwork that celebrates the contrasting yet harmonious beauty of these two landscapes.
